Ropz is rumored to be joining FaZe Clan
If the deal goes through, he'll replace Olofmeister in the starting lineup.
In a joint report by Dexerto and 1pv.fr, Robin “ropz” Kool, one of the top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players in the world, is on his way out of the MOUZ organization to join the ranks of FaZe Clan.
According to reports, the Estonian star only has a few months left on his contract with MOUZ, the organization for which he’s been playing since April 2017, after demonstrating his abilities in FACEIT Pro League (FPL) matches in the past. Previous reports indicated that he was debating whether to join G2 or FaZe.
Because it is apparently in early talks with MOUZ to purchase ropz, FaZe currently has the upper hand in the negotiations because it is not waiting for his contract to expire before negotiating with the company. According to Dexerto and 1pv.fr, the North American firm has already began discussing contract terms with the Estonian counterpart.
According to the rumours, ropz would take the place of veteran player Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer in the FaZe roster if the team signs him. The Swedish veteran has been a member of FaZe since August 2017, but has been absent from the team’s active roster on more than one occasion owing to personal difficulties. It is possible that ropz may rejoin with Finn “karrigan” Andersen, who served as MOUZ’s in-game leader from March 2019 to February 2021 if the transfer is successful.
MOUZ, on the other hand, does not appear to be in the market for a new star to take over for ropz. The German company is considering elevating one of the players from its academy squad, MOUZ NXT, in lieu of this. This year’s up-and-coming lineup performed admirably, taking home first place in both seasons of the WePlay Academy League.
